OBJECTIVES: Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Manager, Programs – TECC Special Education will serve as the Senior Curriculum and Special Education Specialist who leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of inclusive, standards-aligned curricula, and instructional practices for Special Education programs serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 3. The Manager, Programs – TECC Special Education will ensure high-quality teaching and learning by developing evidence-based instructional materials, mentoring and coaching educators, and evaluating program effectiveness through data-driven analysis. This role is dedicated to upholding the mission of Northside by meeting the diverse academic and developmental needs of young learners with disabilities while ensuring compliance with state and federal education guidelines and fostering an equitable, supportive learning environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based instruction and develop individualized IEPs that accelerate academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth for diverse learners in grades K-3.
- Appy inclusive, differentiated instructional strategies that increase student engagement, skill mastery, and overall learning access.
- Design, align, and adapt inclusive curriculum materials using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and assistive technology to improve instructional quality and accessibility.
- Support teachers in implementing curriculum effectively to enhance student outcomes and ensure standards-aligned, consistent instruction.
- Mentor and coach educators to strengthen inclusive teaching practices and drive measurable improvements in student learning.
- Lead professional development and contribute to school-wide instructional planning that promotes a positive, equitable learning environment.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations that accurately identify student needs, inform interventions, and support instructional and placement decisions.
- Monitor progress and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and produce evidence-based reports that guide continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to create cohesive, student-centered plans that support whole-child development.
- Ensure compliance with special education laws and maintain accurate documentation to upload program integrity and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in special education or a closely related education field.
- Valid special education teacher certification/licensure.
- Experience mentoring or supervising teachers, conducting educational evaluations (Including M&E), and applying national or international education standards to strengthen instructional quality (Preferred).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary commensurate with experience. Northside offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
