Staff, Programs Clinic P+ECMH

OBJECTIVES: Reporting to the Manager, Programs – (Clinic) P+ECMH the Staff, Programs – (Clinic) P+ECMH will fill the role of Clinical Social Worker and will deliver specialized mental health services to perinatal individuals, young children, and their families within a supportive clinical setting. The role focuses on promoting emotional well-being, strengthening caregiver relationships, and fostering healthy family dynamics through individualized therapeutic interventions, crisis response, and collaborative care planning. The position requires compliance with all state regulations and professional standards while creating a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment for diverse families.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide therapeutic services, including individual therapy, collateral therapy, and group therapy, to clients and their caregivers in English and Spanish. Services are delivered both in person and through secure telehealth platforms for clients ages, 0-5, 6-17, and their caregivers, as well as perinatal individuals.
  2. Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and track progress toward established goals.
  3. Coordinate case management by arranging care and resources, facilitating referrals, and offering advocacy support for clients and families in English and Spanish.
  4. Provide immediate crisis intervention and develop safety plans for clients experiencing acute emotional distress.
  5. Maintain compliance with agency regulatory standards by maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
  6. Promote program accessibility by maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate evening hours and after-school appointments.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Ability to conduct psychosocial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Skilled in de-escalation techniques and emergency intervention for clients in acute distress.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and implement safety plans.
  • Coordinating care with families, school staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of services.
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA, FERPA, and professional ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to provide services that respect diverse backgrounds and identities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Critical thinker, analytical, creative, strategic, and detail-and results oriented.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a valid clinical license in the State of New York such as Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
  • Experience providing therapy, Perinatal and Early Childhood population.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, crisis intervention, and telehealth delivery.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
