JOB SUMARY

Northside Center is a non-profit organization that provides educational and mental health services in New York City. We currently have openings in our Article 31 Community Based Mental Clinic.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individual play therapy, family therapy, and group therapy to pregnant parents, post-partum parents, children 0-5, children/teens (age 6-18) and their caregivers both in person and via teletherapy
  • Provide case management and/or crisis intervention
  • Complete ongoing documentation in electronic record, including; treatment plan, progress notes, and assessments
  • Working evenings to accommodate after school appointments is required
  • Staff are currently on site at least 1-2 days per week at our Lower East Side, Manhattan location, based on needs of clients

Opportunities

The ECMH Program believes strongly in connecting clinicians to opportunities for clinical growth. ECMH clinicians may have the opportunity to train in the following modalities as training cohorts are available:

  • Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
  • Perinatal Child Parent Psychotherapy (PCPP)
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
  • Circle of Security Parenting
  • Practical Resources for Effective Post-Partum Parenting (PREPP)
  • Perinatal mental health certificate

QUALIFICATIONS

  • LMHC, LMSW/LCSW or Ph.D./Psy.D.
  • Current NYS clinical license
