JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Early Intervention Service Coordinator is to help the family navigate through the Early Intervention system, particularly by assisting them in the selection of an evaluation site, in scheduling of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meeting in a timely manner (within 45 days of referral), and in ensuring that the child/family receive all services agreed upon at IFSP. Throughout the time a child and family are involved in the Early Intervention Program, the Service Coordinator plays a significant role in their lives. The Service Coordinator ensures that there is ongoing communication, collaboration and coordination among the providers of Early Intervention services, Early Intervention Official Designee (EI ODs), and the families themselves.
