Perinatal/Early Childhood Mental Health Clinician

JOB SUMMARY

Providing care and support to expectant mothers before, during and after birth. This can include tasks such as prenatal counseling, assisting with labor and delivery, postpartum care, educating new parents on newborn care.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individual play therapy, family therapy, and group therapy to pregnant parents in person and via teletherapy.

  • Provide case management and/or crisis intervention.

  • Complete ongoing documentation in electronic record, including treatment plan, progress notes, and assessments.

  • Working evenings to accommodate after school appointments is required.

  • Staff are currently on site at least 1-2 days per week, based on needs of clients.

Opportunities

The ECMH Program believes strongly in connecting clinicians to opportunities for clinical growth. ECMH clinicians may have the opportunity to train in the following modalities as training cohorts are available:

  • Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
  • Perinatal Child Parent Psychotherapy (PCPP)
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
  • Circle of Security
  • Triple P
  • Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

Qualifications

  • Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) experience preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Mandarin speaking preferred.
  • LMSW/LCSW or Ph.D/Psy.D.
  • Current NYS clinical license
